Heather Laird Spain

Heather Laird Spain has built her career helping organizations tell their stories. She brings years of experience leading marketing and communications efforts, originally in the nonprofit sector, where she worked at several youth education organizations. In addition, she provided training and consultation to organizations across the country building youth mentoring programs.
Most recently, Heather spent over six years at Google leading product communications and building Google’s local Bay Area community affairs program.
As a career and leadership coach, Heather brings her experience in communications to help people define their aspirations and shape their stories to build meaningful careers and lives. She works with individuals, companies, and is also a Communications Coach for 1st year MBAs at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Heather holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology and an MA in Education, both from Stanford University, and has completed training at The Coaches Training Institute (CTI).
When she’s not working you can find her blogging about parenting, work, and life at alphabetscramble.com, practicing yoga or pilates, running in the foothills, or most likely, running to keep up with her two young kids.
